The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) announced that the new Mandatory Standards for Quality of Service (MSQoS) will be effective on Aug 1, 2021.
MCMC said in a press release that it will encompass new minimum standards, especially for customer service, while three existing MSQoS standards are renewed to enhance the minimum service quality standards for telecommunication networks.
"The importance of customer protection is of utmost priority to the MCMC for telecommunications services under its supervision. MSQoS is the main monitoring instrument established to ensure consumers in Malaysia have access to telecommunications services of quality" it said.
“The new MSQoS will enable customers to ensure that their complaints are resolved and that they experience satisfactory services for both fixed-line and wireless broadband,” the statement added.
