BSNL and ACES announce connectivity deal for Indian airport

Technology company ACES India and state-owned operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have signed a strategic agreement to deploy advanced telecom and digital connectivity infrastructure at Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India.

ACES India specialises in delivering integrated telecom, digital infrastructure and technology solutions. It is a subsidiary of ACES, a global engineering and digital transformation company headquartered in Saudi Arabia.

The partnership aims to deliver robust, reliable and future-ready connectivity solutions at the airport, enhancing mobile network coverage and digital services for passengers, airport operators and other stakeholders.

The partners say this collaboration represents a significant milestone in strengthening telecommunications infrastructure at one of India's most important upcoming aviation hubs (it is due to begin operations this month).

They add that by combining ACES India's global expertise in designing and deploying integrated telecom infrastructure with BSNL's extensive national network and operational experience, the partnership will support seamless connectivity and improved digital experiences across the airport ecosystem.

So far there seems to be little information relating to timelines or the specific technology to be deployed. However, Mohammed N Mazher, Managing Director, ACES India, notes: "This agreement marks an important step for ACES India in delivering world-class connectivity solutions for critical infrastructure projects. Partnering with BSNL enables us to leverage strong local expertise while ensuring future-ready network capabilities at Noida International Airport."

This is the second BSNL airport deal in less than a month. As we reported in December, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIAL) has partnered with BSNL to deploy a digital passenger communication system, including free high-speed Wi-Fi.
