MTN Rwanda signs managed services deal with Ericsson

MTN Rwanda has signed a five-year managed services agreement with Ericsson under which the Swedish vendor will deploy a new network operations centre (NOC) for the operator.

CommsUpdate notes that the companies are long-time collaborators, with Ericsson having installed MTN’s GSM system in 1998.

MTN Rwanda’s Chief Technical Officer Eugene Gakwerere said: “MTN Rwanda embraces digital transformation to maximise efficiencies and to improve service. In deploying and implementing this solution, Ericsson is supporting us in our digital transformation journey which is essential to us providing next generation services to our customers.”
