5G MIMO Repeater Greatly Improves Data Speed

With more and more 5GNR networks in use, avoiding shadow coverage areas is becoming an important consideration to highlight the advantages of 5GNR. Repeaters and BDAs (bi-directional amplifiers) will continue to play a vital role, just as in the 3G/4G eras.

While previous technologies used repeaters for voice and basic data coverage, Prevail Technology’s concept applies MIMO technology for 5GNR repeaters, satisfying high data requirements for indoor scenarios: video, surfing, AI, security, IoT. “Theoretically, our MIMO repeater can reach downlink speeds of 600Mbps+.” says Steve Hu, CTO of Prevail Technology, “and various site test results confirmed our performance. This technology offers an extremely effective solution.”

The 5G PA and built-in 5G base band synchronous detection module (SDM) significantly contributes to Prevail’s MIMO repeater’s advantages in the application of 5GNR. Based on wireless coupling return network, without complex engineering construction and supporting facilities, the 5G MIMO repeater offers a low-cost and quick solution to 5G wireless coverage, for both NSA and SA types.

By making full use of the existing deployed macro station resources, the wireless space coupling macro station signal resources are reach weak signal areas and blind spots both indoors and outdoors, to improve the utilization rate of the base station and expand the coverage area of the base station, solving the problems of difficult-to-build macro stations, high costs, low rates of return, improving user experience and reducing network construction costs. At the same time, remote wireless monitoring and management can minimize the OPEX (operating expenses) and improve network signal quality.
