Indian telecom service provider MTS India (Sistema Shyam TeleServices) is providing free Wi-Fi services to Rapid Metro users in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR, India.
The company is promising internet speeds of up to 9.8 Mbps to 30,000 daily commuters of Rapid Metro.
The operator’s CEO Dmitry Shukov said that it would install more BTS to address consumer demands and boost MTS’ 3GPLUS network. The company has already set up extra base stations to run its ambitious wireless Internet project, said Ashwani Khillan, CTO – MTS India.
Available for 6 months, the free Wi-Fi coverage will be available on all trains running on the 5.1 Km long six station corridor connecting Sikanderpur Metro station, Cyber City, DLF Phase 2, DLF Phase 3 and Ambience Mall.
In addition to all Rapid Metro trains, MTS will provide free Wi-Fi access on four stations including Sikanderpur, IndusInd Bank Cyber City, Phase 2 and Micromax Moulsari Avenue.
