Telecom Italia Brazil has appointed its fourth permanent CEO naming Alberto Griselli as its head, a role which was vacated when Pietro Labriola was unanimously appointed as group CEO.
Griselli will retain his previous role as chief revenue officer a position which he held since 2019, and will also be board chair of the operator. He has over 20 years of experience in the telecoms sector and held senior positions in South America inducing vice president of mobile software provider TIMwe Tech and managing director of the consulting firm Value Partners.
The mini reshuffle to appoint Labriola is the fourth time the Italian operator has made a permanent chief executive switch in five years. The appointment of Labriola follows the operator buying up troubled rival Oi’s mobile unit, alongside a consortium with Claro Brasil and Telefonica Brasil.
