UAE-based digital solutions firm Yango Group and China Mobile International (CMI) have reportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop technology solutions for businesses in Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
According to a report from TechAfrica News on Monday, Yango and CMI plan to collaborate on developing scalable, future-ready solutions that help businesses in those regions to operate more efficiently and reach new markets.
The two companies said they will focus on tech areas such as AI, advertising technologies and cloud infrastructure, among others, the report said.
“CMI brings global telecom infrastructure, while we contribute deep product expertise and local insights,” said Sergej Loiter, Yango Group CEO for search, AI and adtech, in a statement. “Together, we’re creating the foundation for smarter operations and sustainable growth in emerging digital economies.”
CMI spokesperson Lu Jing said the tie-up with Yango will help CMI expand its global digital ecosystem.
“We aim to empower enterprises with seamless connectivity, intelligent solutions, and new opportunities for cross-border growth. The UAE’s unique position makes it an ideal hub to accelerate this vision,” Lu said.
The agreement was signed during last week’s GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai.
