Dito Telecommunity is banking on the launch of post-paid mobile plans and entry into enterprise this year for growth this year.

Business Inquirer reported, chief administrative officer Adel Tamano said there had been robust demands for those services and forecasted they will boost customer numbers. The operator previously stated an aim of reaching 15 million customers this year, it hit 12 million in November 2022.

Dito pledged to spend PHP27 billion (US$487m) on its network this year, by the end of 2023 the company will spend a projected total of PHP230 billion as it strives to meet coverage targets since gaining its licence in 2019. Currently, Dito’s network covers 78% and the target is 80% by year’s end.

Tamano also revealed the company had registered 40% of SIM cards from its subscriber base which equates to 6 million.
