A new top up service has been launched in Zambia which allows Zambian nationals living abroad to recharge prepaid mobiles of family and friends in their homeland. The service, known as Global Top Up, has been launched by MTN Zambia and is the first of its kind in the country. It is offered in partnership with ezetop.
MTN Zambia Chief Marketing Officer Ernst Fonternel said: “At MTN Zambia, we continuously strive to provide products and services that enrich the lives of our customers. Through the provision of this unique service, MTN customers now have the opportunity to have their phones recharged by family and friends who are abroad.”
"Our partnership with MTN Zambia means that for the first time, Zambian people living abroad can now send airtime to MTN mobile phones at home, from over 350,000 retail stores worldwide, through our mobile site and also iPhone & Android Apps” says ezetop Chief Commercial Officer, David Shackleton. “The recharge is instant and can be used immediately” says Shackleton.
