Ooredoo taps Syntys for AI cloud data centres in Qatar

Ooredoo is launching advanced sovereign AI cloud services in Qatar with support from digital infrastructure provider Syntys.

Powered by the latest NVIDIA Hopper GPUs, the service is delivered by Ooredoo and fully hosted in secure, high-performance data centres designed and operated by Syntys. These carrier-neutral facilities feature advanced cooling, high-density rack configurations and a fault-tolerant design to ensure uninterrupted performance for AI workloads.

The project involved transforming existing infrastructure using a modular design approach to accommodate the specific requirements of GPU-accelerated workloads, enhancing scalability, energy efficiency and strict security compliance. From technical assessment to operational readiness, Syntys collaborated closely with Ooredoo to create an environment that supports fast deployment and high-density rack integration—two essential pillars for AI readiness.

By enabling in-country advanced AI cloud services, Syntys empowers developers, government entities and critical sectors to innovate securely and scale advanced solutions, while maintaining local data residency, infrastructure control and enhanced privacy.

Sunita Bottse, CEO of Syntys, said: “With resilient, mission-critical infrastructure and scalable capacity, we empower AI clusters to drive sovereign digital platforms and accelerate national and regional innovations.”
