Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is set to bring Realme back under its core brand structure as a sub-brand, as parent company BKK Electronics looks to better integrate resources and align its brand strategy alongside OnePlus.
Under the changes, Realme will operate more closely with Oppo and OnePlus as part of a coordinated portfolio approach, while maintaining differentiated positioning across products and markets.
Realme CEO Sky Li is expected to oversee the sub-brand business, while OnePlus China president Li Jie will retain his current responsibilities. Realme’s product launch plans will continue as scheduled, and the brand will be fully integrated into Oppo’s after-sales service system.
The move reflects Oppo’s broader efforts to streamline operations and improve efficiency across its smartphone businesses, Lei Feng Network reported. The publication cited internal sources as saying closer coordination between Oppo, Realme and OnePlus is intended to strengthen execution and support global expansion.
