A leading operator in Uganda is upgrading its messaging platforms with enhanced security to protect its subscribers from unsolicited spam messages. Uganda Telecom is deploying Jinny Software’s Filtering Solution, which provides operators with a reliable development environment to implement SMS traffic screening for anti-spam, anti-flood, anti-fraud and anti-virus on the same platform.
“The issue of security is important to us, and to our customers,” says Stanley Henning, Uganda Telecom Chief Operations Officer. “We chose Jinny for our Filtering solution because it offers network-level protection from malware, viruses, fraudulent traffic, and subscriber-level control over unwarranted traffic.”
“We are delighted to announce the upcoming implementation of our upgraded messaging platforms and filtering solution for Uganda Telecom,” says Richard Choi, Jinny Chief Commercial Officer. “The latest release of Jinny’s core messaging solutions is designed to support mobile networks that require flexibility and rapid time-to-market for new services, and the Jinny Filtering Solution protects both the operator’s business and the subscriber’s experience.”
