One more year for Globecomm with Afghan Telecom

Afghan Telecom has announced that its new District Communications Network (DCN) has recently gone live.

Afghan Telecom is the newly formed company that has taken on responsibility for telecommunications services throughout Afghanistan . The DCN has been constructed by Globecomm Systems Inc. under a contract issued by the Afghan Ministry of Information. In order to provide the teleport services that enable international voice and Internet connectivity, a Globecomm subsidiary, Globecomm Network Services Corporation (GNSC), has signed a one-year extension of its contract with Afghan Telecom. Under the terms of the contract the DCN provides telecoms connections between districts, central and provincial organisations.
