Enhanced mobile broadband deploying across three Baltic countries

Three Baltic countries will soon have access to high quality mobile broadband, boasting superior data speeds and improved coverage. Tele2 has commissioned Nokia Siemens Networks to deploy its 4G/LTE radio and core network across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. In addition, the company will modernize and expand Tele2’s GSM and 3G networks.

“With increased adoption of smart devices and demand for high speed data services, we want to build LTE networks in the Baltics,” said Niklas Sonkin, Central Europe and Eurasia market area director, Tele2. “Nokia Siemens Networks’ advanced radio and core platforms will ensure reliable network connections and high speed mobile broadband services for our customers.”

NSN will provide its advanced radio and core network elements to modernise and expand its networks, and build a high speed LTE network in the Baltics.
