Yemen Operator secures Optimi software services

Managed network growth and increased demand for voice and data services are two challenges facing an operator in Yemen. Optimi, which supplies customised planning, optimisation and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, has won the contract to supply software solutions to the problem. Optimi, which supplies customisable planning, optimisation and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, has just been awarded a major network planning and optimisation software solutions contract with a leading wireless operator in Yemen. During the network planning phase, the operator will utilise Optimi's x-Wizard network planning application to design the network according to its desired criteria. The application enables the operator to manage network growth and increased demand for voice and data services. x-Wizard is in turn part of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite.

During the network optimisation phase, the operator will employ x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning) to maximise spectrum capacity and reduce the need for additional cell sites, which then reduces CapEx. The application's graphical user interface enables easy creation, simulation and analysis of new frequency plans before network implementation.

By utilizing x-ACP (Automatic Cell Planning), the operator can develop cell designs to increase cell capacity, coverage and QoS. Both x-AFP and x-ACP are part of the X Design and Optimization Product Suite.
