Zain, the digital service provider in Kuwait, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with its global partner Huawei to advance its 5G infrastructure for achieving the best user experience and enhancing the network’s quality.
Under the agreement, the two companies will explore innovations and accelerate the development of a 5G Stand-Alone network (SA).
According to local media, this MoU is part of Zain’s efforts to strengthen its leadership as the first operator to commercially launch this revolutionary technology in the Kuwaiti market.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Zain Kuwait CEO Eaman Al-Roudhan and Huawei Middle East Carrier Business President An Jian.

"Through this agreement, we are exploring the implementation of many technological innovations, including those related to 5G solutions, to improve network coverage and capacity and to improve the 5G consumer experience, the user experience of fixed wireless access (FWA) and accelerate the creation of autonomous 5G network (SA) development. The MoU also explores upgrading our 5G network infrastructure to better bolster the digital transformation plans of many vital sectors and industries that Zain serves in the country," Al-Roudhan added.
