Sudatel Telecom Group has announced net profits for the 2015 fiscal year of US$52 million, with the operator saying it is “satisfied” with its performance over the year.

Announced at this year’s first meeting of the Board of Directors, Sudatel saw a four per cent rise in net profits over the 2015 financial year as compared to the year before; while earnings per share also grew by 10 per cent.

The results showed improvements across all areas, with the company saying the results confirm the continuing growth of Sudatel for the second consecutive year.

The financial results report and the final accounts were audited by the General Auditor Office in Sudan and by independent auditor firm “International Accountants” based in Saudi Arabia, as well as by Ernst & Young which is responsible for auditing the Group’s companies in West Africa.

Launched in 1993, the Sudatel Group currently serves more than 11.3 million subscribers, and has a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries ranging from data centres, submarine cable companies to local telecom operators in Sudan, Mauritania, Senegal, Ghana and Guinea Conakry.
