Industry sources have told Bloomberg that Vodafone is in the final stages of agreeing on a partnership with Kuwaiti operator Zain. While the talks are understood to be confidential, the sources have disclosed that the partnership is to centre on countries including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Bahrain.

The claims are given credence by previous moves by Vodafone, which pursued a proactive campaign of roaming agreements with Asian operators last year. Vodafone’s management was also pushed by investors at their AGM on the topic of expansion.
