CelleBrite Ltd., a provider of mobile forensic solutions, announced application upgrades to the UFED family of products at Mobile World Congress 2010.  With application updates to both the UFED Physical Pro (version 1.1.3.1), and the UFED Physical Analyzer software (PC version 1.6.0) law enforcement forensic agencies can initiate the physical dump of a mobile phone’s memory for an industry-high number of 503 devices.

The UFED Physical Pro’s latest feature set is highlighted by its ability to support email and even deleted emails for Windows Mobile devices via a physical dump. Version 1.1.3.1 also provides email extraction for Blackberry devices, in addition to enabling the retrieval of deleted SMSs, contact lists, and call logs for iPhones. Supporting these new features with an upgrade of its own is the UFED’s Physical Analyzer software (PC version 1.6.0).  With added reporting functionality, forensic investigators will now have more options for report formats, PDF and XML, in addition to support for ZIP container files. With an add-on module that can be deployed on any UFED device, existing users can easily upgrade their systems with this latest functionality.

Information contained and extracted from mobile phones is fast becoming one of law enforcement agencies’ most effective tools in crime solving and evidence gathering. “While the UFED system outpaced other solutions even prior to this latest version release, CelleBrite is committed to providing law enforcement units with the most robust forensic tools possible so that they can more effectively do their jobs and stay ahead of the market’s advancing technology.” said Ron Serber, Co-CEO of CelleBrite.
