UPC Slovakia extends Giga network

UPC Broadband Slovakia has expanded the coverage of its gigabit broadband service to a further ten Slovak towns and villages.

Households in Prešov, Trnava, Banská Bystrica, Levice, Sliač, Veľký Šariš, Haniska, Petrovany, Kendice, and Ľubotice can also use the speed of 1 Gigabit per second the Internet, which brings new possibilities of virtual entertainment.

"With the fastest Internet service, they can take advantage of all the benefits and advantages of a gigabit connection, the introduction of which is a confirmation of UPC's technological sophistication of the Internet and its constant investment in a state-of-the-art broadband network," said a press release from the broadband internet in Slovakia.

UPC says its gigabit service is now available to 297,000 households in 13 markets, or almost half of all households in Slovakia.

UPC Slovakia offers Giga internet for a discounted price of €20.90, including the rental of a Connect Box for six months with a two-year commitment.
"UPC Internet has long confirmed its position as a leader in the measurements of the Steam platform, which is one of the world's largest online gaming platforms. UPC customers achieve the highest average data download speed on Steam according to their own measurements," claimed the company.
