Using its teleport facility in Dubai, UAE, as a hub for operations, Samacom is linking with satellite communication services provider Globecomm to open up a new Middle East service operation.

Samacom provides end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions. The agreement facilitates the launch of VSAT services, using iDirect technology to support voice, Internet and data solutions throughout the region. Commencement is imminent.

Globecomm has been working with Samacom for several years on the planning and development of Samacom's teleport facilities, while also currently providing international voice and Internet services in Afghanistan, Iraq and the UAE.
