Belarus mobile operator BeST, a closed joint-stock company (CJSC) which operates under the Life:) brand, has signed an agreement with Ukraine based billing systems developer Telesens LLC to deploy their interconnect billing and settlement system throughout Belarus.
Known as Tinterconnect, the system is an inter-operator billing solution that supports the complete range of interconnect event scenarios, allowing operators to manage their business more efficiently and enhance performance. The system is already in use by telecoms operators in the Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russia.
BeST offers voice, SMS, MMS and GPRS data services in the Republic of Belarus. The company is 80% owned by Turkcell and holds the number three position in the Belarus market, behind MTS, which is partnered with Vodafone and Telkom Austria owned Velcom.
Commenting on the new agreement Ozcan Ermis the General Director of CJSC BeST said "Our main goal is to increase the efficiency of the interrelationships with our partners and customers and to bring new services to market in a prompt and efficient manner. The comprehensive, reliable and flexible system developed by Telesens will enable us to reach a new level of co-operation with our partners and to meet their growing needs."
