Globe Teleservices deploys A2P SMS firewall for Cambodia’s Cellcard

Singapore-based telecom solutions provider Globe Teleservices says it has signed a partnership deal with Cambodian telco CamGSM (a.k.a. Cellcard) to deliver an A2P SMS firewall solution.

In an announcement dated Wednesday and released on Friday, Globe Teleservices said its fully integrated platform secures A2P messaging channels and protects its network and customers from growing A2P fraud threats, including SMS spoofing, SIM farming, grey routes, and artificial inflation of traffic (AIT).

“With the growing complexity of network frauds, safeguarding our subscribers is our top priority,” said Cellcard CEO Yap Kok Leong in a statement. “This collaboration with Globe Teleservices strengthens our ability to provide customers with a secure and seamless messaging experience they can trust for the long run.”

Globe Teleservices Group CEO Ashutosh Agrawal added that the A2P SMS firewall – which took 60 days to deploy – helps Cellcard protect legitimate enterprise traffic, which he said can turn potential losses into sustainable revenue streams.

“This partnership is a key step toward enabling innovations for secure and scalable telecom ecosystems across Southeast Asia,” he said.
