The Pontis Marketing Delivery Platform is the industry's first system that enables communication service providers to maximize the marketing relevance for each customer through the dynamic adaptation of the product offer and purchase experience. The Pontis system will enable the operator to package and bundle different services and promote a variety of content and services to their customers. The system will serve both the CDMA and GSM mobile networks enabling the operator to more effectively target subscribers with a range of value added services including content, ringback tones and messaging matching user profiles, preferences and real time behaviour.
The deployment comes at a time when operators in the rapidly developing Chinese mobile market - which has experienced several years of significant growth and new customer acquisition - are now focussing primarily on managing existing customers and driving ARPU. The Pontis Marketing Delivery Platform will enable China Unicom to manage a full marketing program cycle, from planning and managing marketing offers and programs through to delivery and analysis including real time monitoring.
