Global telecom service provider Sonema has selected Comtech EF Data Corp’s Heights networking platform to expand its satellite networking capabilities across the African continent.
The Heights hub will be located within Sonema’s teleport in France and provide enhanced connectivity services on star and mesh network architectures to 50 countries within Africa. Heights is a scalable networking platform that meets the evolving demands of a diverse end user community across a number of different verticals, including the increasingly demanding Premium Enterprise and Maritime markets.
Heights cost-effectively supports multiple business models simultaneously, from traditional full hub ownership and operation to Virtual Network Operator (VNO) operation within a Home Network Operator (HNO) configuration. Heights leverages a single comprehensive user interface teamed with a powerful traffic analytics engine that allows simplified design, implementation, monitor, control and optimization of networks.
“At Sonema, we strive to offer a heightened quality of service and provide our clients with the highest Quality of Experience (QoE) possible,” said Yves Du Sault, Marketing Director for Sonema. “Heights delivers on high spectral efficiency, network intelligence, scalability and flexibility; we can leverage those key differentiators to offer enhanced services to customers for whom performance and availability are paramount.”
Mark Toppenberg, Senior Vice President, Sales for Comtech EF Data, added: “The Heights platform will enable Sonema to maintain its leadership position within the evolving African communications landscape by allowing them to enhance their array of services.”
