The Egyptian market-leading operator is implementing a solution to improve the reliability and security of its network. Mobinil, which has around 30 million customers in Egypt, is adopting HP’s TippingPoint solutions to safeguard its GSM, 3G mobile and IP networks, shielding its customers from network-borne threats that could lead to service disruption.
Mobinil supports more than 99 percent of Egypt’s population, and it has seen increasing demand for instant access to services and 100% reliability through security provided within the data network.
HP’s platforms will allow the operator to deliver real-time proactive inline protection for its distributed data centres and network infrastructure. The IPS detects and blocks trojans, viruses, worms or any potentially damaging network events that could slow down operations, threaten service quality or cause customer downtime.
